Cultural Heritage

With over one hundred years of history, A Brasileira is a unique space within the city of Lisbon. It is of national importance and carries with it an extraordinarily rich cultural heritage from the past.  The building was classed as a Building of Public Interest in 1997 by the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage. Today, A Brasileira is one of Lisbon’s oldest cafés, one of only three to have remained open throughout the 20th century and remains so to this day. Therefore, that public body ensures its protection and preservation.
